Tulsi basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum 'Kapoor') is our only single ingredient tisane and for good reason!

Sustainably grown on several TRC roofs, tulsi basil also known as holy basil or sacred basil is considered to be the "Queen of Herbs" and is hand-harvested throughout the season to capture the plant in all of its stages. Tender early leaf and mid-summer tulsi, all create a complex tisane that is a staple in every pantry.

Tulsi Tisane — 100% Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum)

The flavor profile is often described as similar to cloves and anise, with hints of mint and a slight peppery note.

Use/Care Instructions

Serving suggestion: 1 Tbl for 10oz water.
Avg Servings per Bag. 15 Cups

Water temperature: 205ºF
Brewing time: 3-5 minutes.
Infusions: 4x (For each additional infusion add 1 minute to brew time)

We enjoy this blend all year long, as it is delicious hot or iced.

You can add to a warm bath or in a bowl as a facial steam for a calming retreat. Strained and added to a bottle and used as a botanical spritz for skin or hair.
