More specifically, we may need to process your data or share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.

4. WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?

We provide our services in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us may be transferred to, and stored in, the United States. By using our service or otherwise providing us your information, you are expressly consenting to this transfer.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We use reasonable security measures that are designed to protect your personal information from accidental loss, disclosure, misuse, and destruction. Please be aware, however, that no data security measures can be guaranteed to be completely effective. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you provide to us. You transmit information to us at your own risk.

If you have any questions about our security measures, please contact us at hello@theroofcrop.com.

7. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Our servers and data centers are located in the United States. If you choose to use the Services from outside the U.S., then you should know that you are transferring your information outside of your region and into the U.S. for storage and processing. By providing your information to us through your use of the Services, you agree to that transfer, storage, and processing in the U.S. Also, we may transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Services. You should know that each region can have its own privacy and data security laws, some of which may be less stringent as compared to those of your own region.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at hello@theroofcrop.com.

8. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

9. Changes To This Policy

If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post a notice of the change so that you are aware on a current basis of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we will disclose it. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it before disclosing personal information. If we make changes that materially affect our uses or disclosures of personally identifiable information that we have previously collected from you, we will notify you beforehand and provide a mechanism for you to opt out of the new use or disclosure.
