Product Information

In 2013, The Roof Crop LLC was conceived as a project to transform the Chicago urban landscape by developing farmable, productive green roof systems. In the years following, The Roof Crop evolved into a full-service green-roof construction, landscape, and urban farm company with deep ties to the communities in which we work, from residences and office buildings, to restaurants and florists.

Today, the Roof Crop LLC offers services that connect people to more sustainable practices, from the food and flowers we grow, to the events we host, the beehives we tend, and to the hospitality industry we support.

In 2020 we launched The Roof Crop Foundation as a way to extend the research and methods of growing on roofs and urban landscapes initiated by The Roof Crop LLC. The foundation drives innovation in ecological growing protocols to improve agricultural yields and apiary health, while benefiting the urban community and environment.
